INDYCAR Freedom 250 Kicks Off in DC Today

The inaugural INDYCAR Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C. is underway today on the streets surrounding the National Mall, with Alex Palou starting from the pole.

The race is live on FOX and FOX One, with the green flag scheduled for 1:13 p.m. ET. Kyle Kirkwood joins Palou on the front row, with Scott McLaughlin, Christian Rasmussen and Marcus Armstrong completing the top five. Josef Newgarden led Sunday morning's warmup, while President Trump appeared on pit road before the race. rouesnews.click

The seven-turn circuit runs along Pennsylvania Avenue and passes landmarks including the U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument. The race is scheduled for 147 laps and approximately 250 miles. Expanded pre-race coverage begins at 11:30 a.m. ET on FOX and FOX One.
