Everton Beats Palace in Season Opener

Everton got off to a dream start in the new Premier League season with a 2-0 home win against Crystal Palace. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall put the hosts ahead with a fine shot from an angle just before halftime, and Thierno Barry doubled the lead with a header early in the second half.

Jørgen Strand Larsen came on for Crystal Palace after 63 minutes, replacing Jean-Philippe Mateta. The Norwegian had about 30 minutes on the pitch but couldn't change the result.
