INDYCAR Unveils Unique Freedom 250 Trophy

The Freedom 250 trophy, created to celebrate America's 250th birthday, features a scaled crystal pyramid representing the Washington Monument and a detailed U.S. Capitol dome at the top. Designer Michael Montri crafted the trophy to reflect the perspective from behind the Washington Monument looking toward the Capitol across the National Mall.

The trophy includes innovative lighting elements - a mirror-finish underside that directs light upward into the hollow shaft, illuminating the crystal pyramid and dome during victory celebrations. The black base is assembled using 45-degree miter cuts to create a monolithic appearance.
