Haugesund signs RB Leipzig talent Norbye

Jonathan Norbye, a 19-year-old central defender, has made the move from German football giant RB Leipzig to FK Haugesund in Norwegian 1. divisjon. The Alta-born defender had been on loan at Fredrikstad in the top division this season, where he made nine appearances, five of them from the start.

Norbye joined RB Leipzig's academy at just 15 years old and progressed to their senior team, making a Bundesliga appearance in spring 2024. He was subsequently loaned to Arminia Bielefeld's second team before joining Fredrikstad.
