Trey Mancini Announces Retirement After Cancer Comeback

Trey Mancini, the 2021 AL Comeback Player of the Year and 2022 World Series champion, announced his retirement after a brief return to the majors with the Los Angeles Angels.

Mancini, 34, had signed a minor league deal with the Angels in February and played five games before being designated for assignment on June 17. saltysenoritaaz.org

His career included 129 MLB home runs, 404 RBIs, and a 2022 World Series ring after a trade to Houston. Mancini thanked the Orioles, Cubs, Reds, Marlins, and Diamondbacks in his retirement post.
