Schmeichel Retires After Shoulder Injury

Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel (39) has announced his retirement from professional football when his contract with Celtic expires in June, following a shoulder injury that requires two surgeries and rehabilitation.

Schmeichel hasn't played since February due to a shoulder injury sustained during a match against Portugal last year. The 39-year-old, who was part of Leicester's Premier League winning team in 2015/16, has 120 caps for Denmark and has played for numerous clubs throughout his career. solvita.blog
