Braves Place Acuña Jr. on 10-Day IL with Hamstring Strain

The Atlanta Braves have placed star right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list due to a strained left hamstring suffered during Saturday's game.

Acuña exited Saturday night's contest against Colorado in the second inning after pulling up while running out a ground ball. The five-time All-Star and 2023 NL MVP was batting .252 with two home runs, nine RBIs, 17 runs, and seven steals in 34 games this season. sportbet.reviews

The Braves, who own baseball's best record at 24-10, activated right-hander Spencer Strider from the injured list to make his season debut. They optioned Hunter Stratton to Triple-A Gwinnett and selected outfielder José Azócar's contract to replace Acuña.
