Petch Re-Signs for Pirates 2026-27

Alfie Petch, the 26‑year‑old prop, has agreed a new contract with the Cornish Pirates for the 2026‑27 season after featuring in 22 of the team’s 24 Championship games this campaign.

Having started 21 of those matches, Petch has become a key figure in the Pirates’ front row, appearing 52 times for the club across loan and permanent spells. The club confirmed the signing on Tuesday, noting he is a local talent and a vital part of the scrum. Six other players will be leaving the club at season’s end. sport-ipl.my
