Haiti, DR Congo Return to World Cup After 52 Years

Haiti and the Democratic Republic of the Congo have qualified for the 2026 World Cup, ending a 52‑year drought, with Iraq also returning after 40 years.

Haiti secured a CONCACAF berth, while DR Congo won a play‑in against Jamaica, both marking their first World Cup appearance since 1974. Iraq earned its spot by defeating Bolivia 2-1, returning after its last appearance in 1986.
