Blue Jays’ Max Scherzer Pulled After Two Innings vs. Dodgers

Toronto Blue Jays starter Max Scherzer was removed after two innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to diminished velocity.

The 41-year-old righty tossed 36 pitches, allowing two runs and two hits before left-hander Josh Fleming entered in the third. Scherzer told the dugout he felt 'OK' but averaged just 92.1 mph on his fastball.

This follows Eric Lauer being pulled early on Sunday due to illness. The Blue Jays are currently battling significant attrition with key rotation arms like Shane Bieber and José Berríos on the injured list.
