Sha'Carri Richardson became the third woman to win the Stawell Gift from scratch, running 13.08 seconds on the uphill grass track.

Richardson, the Olympic 100m silver medallist, overcame a 10‑metre handicap to win the iconic Australian race. She finished 13.08 seconds, the fastest women’s time in the event’s 148‑year history, beating Charlotte Nielsen in the final stretch and taking the A$40,000 prize.
