McShay proposed the move on "The McShay Show," highlighting the potential to acquire the 14.5-sack edge rusher who transferred from Stanford to Texas Tech for a breakout 2025-26 season.

While the Cowboys are prioritizing an elite pass rusher, trading up would require significant capital. Bailey’s explosive playstyle and playoff performance with the Red Raiders make him an intriguing prospect for Dallas’ defense.
