Liverpool's FA Cup campaign came to an abrupt end with a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City in the quarterfinals, leaving the Reds with only Champions League silverware to fight for.

Arne Slot's Liverpool were thoroughly outclassed by Manchester City at Etihad Stadium. The loss puts mounting pressure on Liverpool's upcoming Champions League tie against Paris St. Germain, as the Reds' realistic path to silverware has now become much more difficult.

Slot's tactical setup with a 4-2-2-2 formation featuring Mohamed Salah centrally initially showed promise but couldn't withstand City's pressure. Salah, who has announced his intention to leave the club at season's end, continues to struggle with form relative to his usual high standards.
