Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy was caught eating a pancake from his hoodie pocket during a dugout interview, sparking a viral moment. In a later Apple TV pre‑game chat, he swapped the pancake for a Sulcata tortoise named Bobby Jr., which could not travel with the team.

During a dugout interview last August, Brewers skipper Pat Murphy was caught snacking on a pocket pancake, a moment that blew up online and prompted the team to launch “Murph’s Pocket Pancakes” at home games.

When a pre‑game Apple TV interview demanded “no pocket pancakes,” Murphy presented a Sulcata tortoise named Bobby Jr. to reporter Tricia Whitaker. Airlines’ no‑reptile rule left the tortoise behind in Kansas City, where the club plans to find a permanent home.
