Corinthians midfielder sent off for obscene gesture

Corinthians midfielder Allan was sent off during halftime of the 2-0 loss to Fluminense in the ninth round of the 2026 Brasileirão. The player received a straight red card for making an obscene gesture while arguing with someone on Fluminense's bench after being involved in a minor scuffle with Lucho Acosta earlier.

Allan, a former Fluminense player, had initially only received a yellow card for the altercation with the Argentine midfielder. However, his subsequent behavior resulted in his dismissal and reduced Corinthians to ten men while already trailing 2-0 at the Maracanã.
