NBA Approves Trail Blazers Sale to Tom Dundon Group

The NBA Board of Governors has unanimously approved the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers to a group led by Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon, valuing the franchise at $4.25 billion.

The sale, completed by the Paul Allen Trust, will direct all proceeds to charity as required by the trust. The transaction follows the team's recent state approval for major upgrades to the Moda Center.

Under Dundon, the Blazers will continue to develop a roster built around veterans like Jrue Holiday and Damian Lillard while focusing on younger talent such as Deni Avdija, Sharron Sharpe and Scoot Henderson.
