MSU Hockey's Season Ends in Heartbreaking OT Loss to Wisconsin

Michigan State hockey suffered a heartbreaking 4-3 overtime defeat to Wisconsin on Saturday, ending their NCAA tournament run.

The Spartans led 3-1 with just over five minutes remaining but allowed two goals in a 34-second span to force overtime. Wisconsin defenseman Ben Dexheimer scored the game-winner just 24 seconds into the extra period to send the Badgers to the Frozen Four.

This loss marks the third consecutive season that MSU, the No. 1 seed, failed to reach the Frozen Four. The Spartans finish the season with a 26-9-2 record after falling just short of their championship aspirations.
