GSU Athletics Unveils 5-Year Plan to Raise $10M in Fundraising

Georgia State University Athletics has unveiled a five‑year plan to raise annual fundraising to $10 million and boost fan attendance by 50%, focusing on new facilities and student‑athlete support.

The plan, announced by Athletics Director Charlie Cobb, targets a $10 million fundraising goal, a 50 % rise in attendance, and a $3 million revenue‑sharing target for student‑athletes through NIL and other opportunities. A new general manager will oversee revenue growth and the expansion of name, image and likeness programs.

Key facility projects include a new baseball stadium, a covered football practice field, upgraded basketball and volleyball practice facilities, a softball stadium, and additional tennis courts and hospitality areas as part of the College Town Downtown vision in the Summerhill neighborhood. The strategy also builds on recent completions of the Convocation Center and the MLK Soccer Complex.
