49ers GM: Substation Issue a 'Big Nothing Burger'

49ers GM John Lynch has dismissed worries about the team's practice‑facility proximity to an electrical substation, citing an independent scientist’s report that the voltage levels are far below unsafe thresholds.

At the NFL annual meeting, Lynch announced that an independent scientist had examined the substation and concluded it was a "big nothing burger." The report found voltage levels were 400 times lower than the unsafe zone, confirming the facility is safe.

Despite the findings, some players, including tight end George Kittle, have expressed concerns about ambient voltage potentially contributing to injuries. Lynch said the team is working to reassure players that the practice site poses no health risk.
