Clemson Tigers Lose First Player to Transfer Portal

Junior forward Jake Wahlin has entered the NCAA transfer portal, becoming Clemson's first player to leave after a 24‑11 season that ended with a first‑round exit.

Jake Wahlin, the 6‑foot‑10 junior forward who joined Clemson after two seasons with Utah, posted averages of 5.3 points and 4 rebounds in 35 games, shooting 40% from the field and 34% from beyond the arc. He announced his entry into the NCAA transfer portal on March 27, marking the program’s first player departure.

Clemson finished 24‑11 overall and 12‑6 in ACC play, but fell to Iowa 67‑61 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The transfer portal opens April 7, giving the Tigers time to assess the impact of Wahlin’s exit.
