Prince William Wrote Vonn After Olympics Crash

In her interview with Vanity Fair, Vonn revealed that Prince William was among the many people who contacted her after her downhill crash at the Milano Cortina Olympics. The Prince's letter praised her courage, noting how she approached the starting gate "with courage and no regrets." Vonn also received messages from sports stars Tom Brady, David Beckham, and tennis champion Jannik Sinner.

The most meaningful note came from broadcaster Diane Sawyer, who told Vonn, "You can't have courage and comfort at the same time." Vonn is currently recovering from multiple injuries including a complex tibial fracture, fractured fibular head, and broken ankle. She developed compartment syndrome, which was treated by her orthopedic surgeon Dr. Tom Hackett. Despite a year-long recovery expected, Vonn remains open about her future, stating, "I don't like to close the door on anything."
