Prem Rugby has announced a £5.4m minimum salary floor for every club starting next season, aiming to level the playing field as the league transitions to a franchise system.

The RFU Council also confirmed the 10‑team Premiership will remain unchanged until the 2029‑30 season, when two additional clubs may join if they meet financial and sporting criteria.
