Rousseau makes defensive history

Published September 30, 2026 · Updated September 30, 2026 · NBC Sports

Greg Rousseau has recorded two sacks in each of the Buffalo Bills' first three games, becoming just the third player since 1982 to achieve this feat.

Linebacker Greg Rousseau joins Mark Gastineau (1984 Jets) and Kevin Greene (1998 Panthers) as the only players with multiple sacks in the first three games of a season since sacks became an official statistic in 1982. Rousseau leads the NFL with 6 sacks, 8 tackles for loss, and 3 forced fumbles.

With another 2-sack performance against the Patriots on Sunday, Rousseau can tie Kevin Greene's record of multiple sacks in the first four games of a season. He's currently sixth in Defensive Player of the Year odds at +1500. hilogame.news
