UNC Chancellor: Support for Belichick Comes with Expectations

UNC chancellor Lee Roberts stated that Coach Belichick "continues to have our support, the support of the administration and of the board" while noting that "support comes with expectations around conduct and behavior." Roberts made these comments amid the resignation of G.M. Michael Lombardi and defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, whose conduct apparently fell short of the university's standards. somethingsdifferent.biz

The chancellor mentioned that UNC is "continuing to put in place policies and training and monitoring to make sure that the standards we expect of the football program are being adhered to." The Tar Heels, currently 2-1, are off this weekend and will host Notre Dame next weekend.
