49ers Release LB Deion Jones

The San Francisco 49ers are releasing linebacker Deion Jones just days after acquiring him in a trade from the Saints. The team acquired Jones in exchange for running back Zamir White, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Jones, a second-round pick of the Falcons in 2016, made the Pro Bowl in his second season. He has 128 regular-season appearances and 91 starts in his career, including stints with the Falcons, Browns, Panthers, Buccaneers, and most recently the Saints. afsport.lat
