Texans Place Higgins on Season-Ending IR

The Houston Texans have placed wide receiver Jayden Higgins on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season before it began. Higgins, a 2025 second-round pick, injured his knee during a joint practice with the Raiders on Tuesday when he landed awkwardly in the end zone during an 11-on-11 red zone drill.

The 23-year-old started 10 games last season and recorded 525 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He was expected to start opposite Nico Collins this season, making Xavier Hutchinson, Tank Dell and Jaylin Noel more important to the Texans' offense.
