Bears Sign Sewell, Place Garvin on IR

The Bears announced a pair of roster moves on Tuesday morning. They signed undrafted defensive back Marlen Sewell, who takes the roster spot of defensive lineman Jonathan Garvin, who was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move.

Sewell was undrafted out of Vanderbilt this year. He signed with the Chiefs after the draft but was released by Kansas City in June. Garvin played in 38 games for the Packers between 2020 and 2022 but has not appeared in a game over the last three seasons. librea.one
