Wales look to unleash England U20 star

Head coach Steve Tandy has made three changes to the Wales lineup for Saturday’s Nations Championship clash against Argentina in San Juan.

Exeter Chiefs forward Kane James in line to make his Test debut from the bench at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario.

James missed selection for the 2026 Six Nations with an ankle injury, but the former England U20 international has impressed since joining the Wales squad.

Tandy has also reshuffled his back row, with James Botham at blindside flank, Jac Morgan at openside and Aaron Wainwright at No 8.

In the backline, Sam Costelow gets the nod at flyhalf ahead of Dan Edwards and partners Tomos Williams, while Ellis Mee starts on the wing with Louis Rees-Zammit among the replacements.

Hooker Ryan Elias is set to earn his 50th Wales cap from the bench, alongside Teddy Williams and Max Llewellyn.

The Welsh have arrived in Argentina after opening their Championship campaign with a 39-24 win against Fiji. Tandy’s squad had just one training session before heading west from Buenos Aires to San Juan, where they will face a Los Pumas side beaten 47-38 by Scotland in Córdoba last week.
