Set your alarms: Springboks face All Blacks in late-night Baltimore showdown
South African rugby fans are in for a late night this weekend as the Springboks and All Blacks prepare to meet in their historic fourth Test in Baltimore.
The match kicks off at 23:00 SAST on Saturday, 12 September 2026, turning the US clash into a late-night viewing event back home. librea.one
In Baltimore, where the match is being played on the US East Coast, kick-off is at 17:00 on Saturday afternoon.
And if the reception the Springboks received when they arrived in the United States is anything to go by, there will be plenty of green and gold support far from home.
What time is Springboks vs All Blacks?
The fourth Test between South Africa and New Zealand kicks off at 23:00 SAST on Saturday.
Here are the kick-off times in other regions:
- South Africa: 23:00 on Saturday, 12 September
- Baltimore: 17:00 on Saturday, 12 September
- United Kingdom: 22:00 on Saturday, 12 September
- New Zealand: 09:00 on Sunday, 13 September
Where to watch Springboks vs All Blacks
South African and African viewers can watch the match live on SuperSport’s Grandstand and Rugby channels.
The SuperSport pre-match build-up is expected to begin an hour before kick-off, with expert panel analysis ahead of the final fixture.
In the United States, the match will stream on Paramount+ and FloRugby.
New Zealand viewers can watch on Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now, while Sky Sports will carry the match in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Australian viewers can stream the Test on Stan Sport.
Springboks get a taste of home in Baltimore
The Boks might be thousands of kilometres from South Africa, but their arrival in Baltimore reportedly sounded a lot like home.
Despite the Springboks and All Blacks’ shared charter flight landing at around 02:00 local time on Monday morning, South African expats turned out to welcome the team.
Fans dressed in green and gold filled the terminal, waving South African flags and singing Shosholoza.
There were even vuvuzelas.
The reception was firmly focused on the Springboks despite both teams arriving on the same flight, with reports noting the absence of a similar contingent of New Zealand supporters.
Who didn’t make the trip to Baltimore?
Both squads were trimmed following the bruising third Test in Soweto, with injuries and squad rotation leaving several players behind.
The Springboks travelled without six players, while nine All Blacks returned home rather than continuing to Baltimore.
For South Africa, the biggest injury-enforced absence is Cheslin Kolbe.
The winger suffered a fractured jaw during the Springboks’ 29-24 victory and was ruled out of the US tour.
Five other healthy players were omitted as Rassie Erasmus reduced the travelling squad:
- Ben-Jason Dixon
- Cobus Wiese
- Carlu Sadie
- Boan Venter
- Ntuthuko Mchunu
The omissions leave Erasmus with a more streamlined group for the final Test in Baltimore.
All Blacks lose four players to injury
New Zealand’s squad also looks different for the trip to the United States, with nine players heading home.
Four were ruled out through injury.
Ardie Savea dislocated his shoulder during the first half of the third Test, while Quinn Tupaea suffered MCL knee damage.
Cortez Ratima was also ruled out with a knee injury, while Luke Jacobson has an elbow injury.
Five uninjured players were also sent home as the touring squad was reduced:
- Ofa Tu’ungafasi
- Siale Lauaki
- Saula Ma’u
- Bradley Slater
- Josh Jacomb
It means both teams head into the Baltimore encounter without several members of the squads involved in the South African leg of the series.
A Saturday night date for Bok fans
The unusual kick-off means South African supporters will have to wait until late on Saturday night to see the two rivals take the field in Baltimore.
For those planning their night around the rugby, the important time is simple: 23:00 SAST on Saturday, 12 September.
The teams arriving in the United States might look slightly different after the physical third Test and subsequent squad cuts, but the South African support in Baltimore has already made itself heard.
Judging by the welcome awaiting the Boks when they landed, the Springboks won’t be short of a taste of home when they run out for the final Test.

Boks v All Blacks in Baltimore: Everything you need to know, including kick-off time
The Springboks and All Blacks clash in the fourth Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry Test in Baltimore, USA, this Saturday. As things stand, the Boks lead the series 2-1.
Here is everything you need to know about the fourth Test which will be played at the M&T Bank Stadium, including the kick-off time.
RGR series so far
Saturday’s match will be the eighth of the All Blacks’ tour of South Africa, though this final game is being played in the USA.
The All Blacks beat all four of the South African United Rugby Championship teams on tour – namely the Stormers 38-21, the Sharks 54-0, the Bulls 50-19 and the Lions 41-35.
In the three Tests to date, the All Blacks won the opener at Ellis Park 33-16, but the Boks hit back in Cape Town (33-26) and at the FNB Stadium last weekend (29-24).
The M&T Bank Stadium
The final Test takes place on Saturday at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
The stadium opened in 1998 and is the home of the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League. It is a multi-purpose stadium with a capacity of 70,745.
The playing surface was originally natural grass before it became an artificial surface in 2003. It returned to a natural grass surface in 2016 which is currently Tifway 419 Bermudagrass.
American football, soccer and lacrosse are played at the stadium. Saturday’s match will be the first rugby game at the venue.
Metallica, Beyonce, One Direction, Billy Joel and U2 have staged concerts at M&T Bank Stadium.
This Saturday’s Test
This weekend’s match between the Springboks and All Blacks is the finale of the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series.
If the Boks win in Baltimore they will win the series 3-1, but if the All Blacks win the series will end in a 2-2 draw.
The match on Saturday evening will be handled by referee Karl Dickson of England.
The kick-off time is at 5.10pm (Baltimore time) and 11.10pm SA time.

Record-breaking Siya Kolisi leads Springboks to the promised land
Siya Kolisi stood tallest at the FNB Stadium in Soweto on Saturday night in captaining the Springboks to a record 55th Test win.
Kolisi started and played close to an hour in emptying the tank and ensuring that all the momentum was with the Boks in the final quarter.
Siya Kolisi
Kolisi is a great player and an equally great captain. He is comfortably the most influential player to ever lead the Springboks.
This Test was huge in so many ways.
South Africa originally were awarded the 2023 World Cup hosting rights World Rugby’s Independent panel. Despite the endorsement World Rugby’s elected officials declared France the winner.
The Boks went onto win the 2023 World Cup final at the Stade de France in Paris 12-11. They beat their mighty foe, the All Blacks.
The FNB Stadium is where the 2023 World Cup would have been played.
South Africans finally got their final, three years after the fact, against their greatest rival in the most decisive third Test in the four Test series.
They won comfortably, thanks to a third quarter surge and final quarter control and composure, in front of 85 500.
It was the first time in three attempts that the Boks had beaten the All Blacks at the FNB Stadium. It was also just the third win in 11 matches against the All Blacks at altitude.
The Boks lost 33-16 at Ellis Park three weeks ago, but as the series progressed they grew stronger and were easily the best team at the finish on Saturday night.
Kolisi was pivotal to so much of the Boks’ comeback to level the series in Cape Town with a 33-26 win, and win 29-24 at the FNB Stadium.
His continued value to the Boks simply cannot be overstated.
Big names stood up for the Boks in Cape Town and at the FNB Stadium.
Eben Etzebeth, Kolisi, Malcolm Marx and Pieter-Steph du Toit. They are the OGs in the forwards: winners of two World Cups, a British & Irish Lions series and back-to-back Rugby Championships.
When the Boks needed their most experienced forward leaders to make the most on-field noise this quartet produced the highest quality of rugby music. This was no symphony but pure hard rock in a way that only the Springboks can produce.
In the backs the midfield pairing of Damian de Allende and Jesse Kriel were marvellous, in Cape Town and at the FNB Stadium. Cheslin Kolbe was worth gold in Cape Town.
The All Blacks are a different entity to that which lost successive Tests in South Africa in 2024 and got blown away 43-10 in Wellington, New Zealand, in 2025.
The new coach Dave Rennie is moulding a potent line-up that will be South Africa’s closest challenger for the 2027 World Cup in Australia.
The All Blacks were very good at Ellis Park, a threat in Cape Town and competitive for 50 minutes at the FNB Stadium.
They tested the Boks’ resolve, and it took two very important and powerful performances in Cape Town and on Saturday night for the Boks to overturn a one-nil series deficit into a 2-1 lead with one to play.
These Boks know how to win the most important matches, and this one was the most important in South Africa since the third and final Test against the British and Irish Lions in Cape Town in 2021.
It required the OGs to be as present and influential as they were at the 2023 World Cup. It also demanded that the next generation come of age in this series.
We saw that with Ethan Hooker, Jasper Wiese and the maturity of Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu in Cape Town and in the third Test win.
The Boks have beaten the All Blacks in seven of the last nine Tests, which is unprecedented in the history of this great rivalry that stretches back to 1921 and totals 113 Tests.
Saturday night was another memorable one for veteran utility forward Deon Fourie. He finished the final 13 minutes and beat the All Blacks for the third successive time.
