Small Town Pennsylvania thought it was getting a new rollercoaster — it turned out to be the UFC White House centerpiece
The White House lawn doesn’t have an arena for live events, so UFC will have to build one. chickenroad-game.rodeo
Much like it did for UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi all the way back in 2010, the promotion has constructed a temporary arena to produce “Freedom 250” on June 14 in Washington, DC. The structure has already been assembled and tested in Lititz, Pennsylvania, a small town populated by less than 10,000 people.
The massive structure led some residents to believe they were getting a new rollercoaster.
Dropping a rollercoaster in Lititz is like putting a monorail in Springfield.
It’s easy to see why the UFC White House fight card is costing upward of $60 million to produce. The promotion won’t make its money back because the event will not be attended by ticket holders. That means the 85,000 fans who descend upon the nearby Ellipse Park will have to spend beaucoup bucks to make a dent in the UFC White House price tag.

Arteta must meet certain conditions to keep his job as the Arsenal manager
Mikel Arteta has retained the backing of the Arsenal board since becoming manager, despite the team not winning a trophy since the summer of 2020. That continued support has reflected the club’s belief in the direction he has taken them.
The Gunners have shown clear progress under the manager, yet teams are rarely remembered for progress alone unless it ultimately results in silverware. Improvement is valuable, but trophies remain the standard by which success is judged.
Arsenal Still Chasing Major Honours
Arsenal have come close to achieving that in recent weeks, and the side had been in contention for a quadruple before exits from both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup ended those hopes. Those eliminations were disappointing, given the promise they had shown.
They can still win the Premier League and Champions League this term, with supporters confident that their side can rise to the challenge. There remains a belief that this season could yet become a memorable one.
The Gunners continue to do everything possible to ensure the campaign ends strongly. It is also an important period for Arteta’s future, as the club will not want this season to conclude in the same manner as previous ones.
Although Arsenal have explored handing him a new contract, a report in Spain via Football365 claims that they will sack him if his team fail to win the league title and also does not reach the Champions League final.
Pressure Growing On Arteta
That suggestion underlines how decisive the closing stages of the season may become. After years of rebuilding, Arsenal appear to believe the squad is now ready to compete for the biggest honours consistently.
Arsenal value the stability Arteta has brought to the club, but they also believe the time has come for the team to take the next step. There are concerns that progress may stall under the Spanish manager, who some fear may have already taken the side as far as his current ability allows. The coming weeks could therefore shape both the club’s season and the manager’s long-term future.

Celtic v Falkirk match officials named, Martin O’Neill six wins from glory
The Scottish FA has confirmed the match official line-up for the Celtic game against Falkirk on Saturday evening as the focus turns back to the Scottish Premiership title race…

It’s the first of five post split fixtures and Martin O’Neill will be looking for five wins which should almost certainly deliver yet another title for the current Scottish Champions.
The match referee on Saturday’s 5.30pm kick-off will be Ryan Lee and he will be assisted by Jonathan Bell and Dougie Potter. Meanwhile Chris Graham will head up the VAR operation and will be assisted by our old friend Greg Aitken, this confirmed earlier today by the Scottish FA via their official website.

Celtic reached the Scottish Cup Final on Sunday after an astonishing four goal burst in the first half of extra-time against St Mirren took the match away from the Premier Sports Cup winners. The 6-2 scoreline in Celtic’s favour was sweet revenge for that frustrating afternoon in mid-December with Celtic under the guidance of Wilfried Nancy.
That victory sets up the Martin O’Neill versus Neil Lennon master and pupil Scottish cup final on Saturday 23 May. For the Celtic manager though that will be on the back burner for now as he looks to get every last drop of energy out of his squad in the five league games starting against Falkirk at the weekend.

Celtic then take on Hibs at Easter Road, the Rangers at Celtic Park, Motherwell away and finally Hearts on Trophy Day at Celtic Park. If Celtic can win all five then the trophy will be going nowhere and Martin O’Neill, the players and the Celtic support will head to Hampden a week later with confidence through the roof as the most unlikely of doubles is there for the taking.
All fan protests are on hold at these games – it’s all about backing the team and on Sunday at Hampden that was apparent with a huge Celtic support in fine voice. Mon The Hoops!

O’Neill reveals triple Blackburn injury boost ahead of Sheffield United game
Hayden Carter, Scott Wharton and Todd Cantwell could all return for Blackburn against Sheffield United.
Boss Michael O’Neill’s squad has been decimated by injuries in recent weeks but could welcome back the trio as Rovers look to secure Championship survival in their remaining two games.
“Todd trained today, Hayden Carter trained today. Scott Wharton trained, Adam Forshaw trained,” O’Neill said ahead of Wednesday’s clash.
“They’re all positives for us. We’ll have to see how they react to that and not all those players are in contention to start the game.
“We’ll have to manage their minutes a little bit, but just seeing the squad train with more bodies and with a bit of bulk to it, it was nice to see.
“That’s a positive, because we’ve been having to add players from the Academy too often. It’s been pretty much every session to make the numbers up. Today was the first day that we’ve had a number of senior players all training.
“In the period that I’ve been here, you can look on enviously at the other team’s bench a little bit and what they’re able to bring on.
“Over a 46-game season, that’s a big part of it with the amount of games. The bench is important and the ability to rotate is important, which has probably been the most challenging thing in our period here.
“Having a bit of depth and bulk to the squad can only help us.”
Browns reportedly open to big NFL Draft trade that could include Cowboys
Browns reportedly open to big NFL Draft trade that could include Cowboys originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Cleveland Browns own two first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting at No. 6 (their own pick) and at No. 24 (Jacksonville Jaguars).
With two first-rounders, it's hardly a surprise to hear the team mentioned in trade rumors. But it's a bit different for the Browns. They are reportedly open not just to a big trade-up, but also to a move-down in the draft.
According to Essentially Sports' Tony Pauline, the Browns are open to trading down in the draft all the way outside the top 10 picks, which could feature a link-up with the Dallas Cowboys.
Browns reportedly open to trading out of top-10 of NFL Draft
"I'm told the Browns, as of now, would have no problem moving out of the top 10 if the right offer is put in front of them," Pauline writes.
With the Browns open to moving down from the No. 6 pick to outside of the 10th pick, the Miami Dolphins, Cowboys, and any other team picking after the 10th overall should now be in the running for a big move-up in the draft.
Of course, the further out a team is, the more expensive the cost will be. For the Cowboys, who own the 12th and 20th picks, there could be a fascinating trade in the works with the Browns if they're going to move up for a premier player.
Sonny Styles, Caleb Downs, Ruben Bain Jr., or even a falling David Bailey or Arvell Reese could be trade-up targets for a team outside of the top-10. Carnell Tate is another name to monitor as well for a blockbuster trade-up.
More: Todd Monken reveals QB plan for Browns thats good news for Shedeur Sanders
A Browns and Cowboys trade on draft night has been one move often predicted by NFL analysts in mock drafts. This would be a big move for the Browns, but they're reportedly open to such a big deal.
With the team eyeing wide receiver and offensive linemen, there should still be a solid player or two they could pick, even if they move down to 12th overall with the Cowboys.
As long as they don't drop too far, the Browns should be able to land a starting OT and WR in this year's first-round of the draft.
This trade rumor is one to keep in mind come draft night. There's been smoke about a Browns trade down, and moving outside the top 10 is possible for Andrew Berry and Todd Monken in their first draft together.
