Journalist: Liverpool star has already agreed to join European giants
Alisson, Liverpool and Juventus, Alfredo Pedulla Details Goalkeeper Situation
In a wide ranging video update on Alfredo Pedulla’s YouTube channel, the Italian transfer journalist addressed several market situations, but one line carried particular significance for Liverpool supporters. Amid discussion of Juventus, Champions League qualification and defensive targets, Pedulla said plainly that Alisson’s situation is “a completely different story.” cricket-ipl.co.za
That matters because, according to Pedulla, Juventus’ interest in the Liverpool goalkeeper is not framed as vague admiration. It is presented as a live market thread, built around the player’s own thinking and the Italian club’s need to reshape key areas.
Juventus Interest in Alisson Explained
Pedulla was clear when discussing Alisson and Juventus. “Juventus have received the yes,” he said, before adding, “Liverpool are aware of Alisson’s desire.”
That is the line likely to travel furthest. It does not say a deal is complete. It does not say Liverpool have agreed to sell. What it does say, explicitly, is that Juventus believe they have encouragement from the player, and that Liverpool understand the situation.
Pedulla continued, “There would be no salary problems,” before describing Alisson as “the first name on the list for the goalkeeping position.”
For Liverpool, that is the most pointed element of the update. Alisson has long been one of the defining figures of the club’s modern era, but Pedulla’s wording places him at the centre of Juventus’ goalkeeping plans. He added that Alisson “believes he should have an experience elsewhere.”
Spalletti Preference Gives Story Added Weight
Pedulla also connected the story to Luciano Spalletti’s thinking at Juventus. His phrasing was emphatic, saying, “I confirm that for Spalletti he is the first choice by a distance.”
That is not a small detail. It gives the Juventus interest a technical context, not merely a financial or opportunistic one. If Pedulla’s information is accurate, Alisson is not simply one of many names being discussed. He is, in this account, the preferred option.
Pedulla also said, “It is clear that then his entourage will work,” suggesting that any movement would require negotiation through the player’s representatives.
For Liverpool, the implications are obvious, but the transcript does not go beyond that. There is no explicit mention of an asking price, no claim that Liverpool are actively negotiating with Juventus, and no confirmation of an agreement between clubs.
Senesi Comparison Shows Juventus Approach
Pedulla contrasted the Alisson situation with Marcos Senesi, who had also been linked with Juventus. He said, “The difference between Senesi and Alisson, what is it?” before explaining that Senesi had been offered to Juventus last summer and again recently.
According to Pedulla, the issue with Senesi was not Champions League uncertainty. “It was not the uncertainty of the Champions League,” he said. “I want to clarify that.”
Instead, he said the matter centred on wages. Pedulla stated that Juventus’ offer for Senesi “never exceeded 3 million, 3.2 million, 3.3 million per season,” while “especially in the Premier League, they offer more.”
That distinction is important. Pedulla presented Senesi as a player Juventus liked, but not at any cost. “Juve believe they should not spend 5 or 6 million for a defender, even a good one, who is out of contract,” he said.
Alisson, by contrast, was described as a different level of target. “Alisson is a completely different story,” Pedulla said.
Liverpool Face Uncertain Market Noise
Liverpool supporters will naturally treat any Alisson and Juventus story with care. Pedulla did not claim that Liverpool are pushing the goalkeeper out. He did not say Juventus have made an offer to Liverpool. He did not say a transfer is close.
What he did say was specific enough to demand attention: “Juventus have received the yes,” “Liverpool are aware of Alisson’s desire,” and “there would be no salary problems.”
Within the boundaries of the transcript, that is the story. Juventus admire Alisson, Spalletti sees him as “the first choice by a distance,” and the Liverpool goalkeeper is said to be considering “an experience elsewhere.”
For now, this remains a market situation to follow, not a completed transfer. Pedulla himself framed much of the wider market as something that will develop “step by step.” With Alisson, Liverpool and Juventus now tied together by his reporting, every next move will be watched closely.
Budapest: A haunted city for a crazy night
You might have heard the small news of Arsenal reaching the Champions League final for just the second time in the club's history.
Well let us transport you back 20 years to 2006, the last time the Gunners reached the final two. Myles Lewis Skelly wasn't born nevermind Max Dowman. Declan Rice had just joined Chelsea's academy and Mikel Arteta was completing his first full season in English football winning Everton's Player of the Season award.
At the time, you might have been rating your top eight mates on MySpace. Maybe you had UK number one 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley playing on your iPod Nano in the build-up to Arsenal's 2-1 defeat to Barcelona at the Stade De France.
This time, Gooners will be flying to Budapest for the 2026 final with their opponents yet to be decided. For an in-flight film, can we recommend The Da Vinci Code or Mission Impossible 3, both of which were box office hits from May 2006.
What will you find in Budapest? I'm reliably informed from a colleague who has visited the Hungarian capital that one side of the Danube River is Buda, the other Pest. Google will tell you Buda is "residential" and Pest is "vibrant", so head there for your refreshment.
On that note, expect to eat gulyas (goulash), langos (fried dough), chicken paprikas, and Dobos torta. Unicum - described as a herbal liquer - is apparently the tipple of choice in local bars.
Although London's Underground is the oldest in Europe, Budapest boasts the oldest underground system in mainland Europe. Fans will be swapping the Picadilly Line to Arsenal for the Puskás Ferenc Stadion on the M2 Red Line.
Budapest is also regarded as one of the most haunted cities in the world.
Some 20 years ago, the title of Gnarls Barkley's tune - 'Crazy' - summed up the haunting nature of Jens Lehmann's red card.
Alas, much can go wrong on the big occasion. Arsenal fans will dream that Budapest, the Danube and the spirit of Hungary will wash them to their greatest night.

Is Ayo Dosunmu playing in Game 2 tonight vs. Spurs?
The Minnesota Timberwolves stole Game 1 of their second-round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs. Now, Minnesota will have reinforcements as it seeks to jump out to a 2-0 lead over Victor Wembanyama and Co.
Guard Ayo Dosunmu, who missed Game 1 with a right calf injury, will return to the Timberwolves' lineup for Game 2. He'll likely take Terrence Shannon Jr.'s spot alongside Mike Conley in the backcourt.
Prior to Dosunmu's injury late in the Denver Nuggets series, he was playing some of the best basketball of his career. The trade deadline acquisition averaged 21.8 points on 60.9% from the field and 54.5% from 3 in Round 1. He carved Denver up for 43 points and five 3-pointers in Game 4.
The Timberwolves desperately needed Dosunmu back considering Donte DiVincenzo, another starting guard, tore his Achilles in the first round. Shannon excelled in their absence, scoring 24 points in Minnesota's series-clinching Game 6 win over Denver.
Anthony Edwards is playing through a knee injury of his own, so health remains a concern for Minnesota. They haven't used it as an excuse, however, and Game 2 tonight presents a prime opportunity to put a premier title contender on the ropes.
