DC vs CSK Live win probability, prediction, odds & chances of victory in IPL 2026 clash

Delhi Capitals take on Chennai Super Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday.

With only four victories in nine outings this season, Axar Patel's side find themselves rooted to seventh place on the points table.

Five defeats in nine games is not an ideal position for any team eyeing the playoffs, and at this stage of the tournament, every single result carries enormous weight. asg-reflektory.pl

Delhi are running out of room to manoeuvre, and a slip-up against a resurgent Chennai could make things significantly harder.

Meanwhile, CSK have managed to get three wins from their last five matches, including a dominant victory against their bitter rivals Mumbai Indians.

However, history has rarely been kind to Delhi in this fixture. Across 32 meetings between these two sides, Chennai have come out on top 20 times compared to Delhi's 12.

Why Carl Edwards Jr. parted ways with Mets by leaving contract mid-season

Why Carl Edwards Jr. parted ways with Mets by leaving contract mid-season originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.

Carl Edwards Jr.'s long and winding baseball journey is going to continue.

He will no longer be pitching for the New York Mets after some roster maneuvering in the last week.

Edwards is a free agent, and he's free to sign with any MLB team after clearing waivers, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.

MORE: Tyler Rogers is 51 degrees different than every other pitcher in MLB

Why is Carl Edwards Jr. a free agent?

Edwards had a clause in his contract that allowed him to elect free agency rather than report to Triple-A Syracuse.

The Mets designated him for assignment last week to remove him from the 40-man roster and send him down to the minor leagues. But a player with Edwards' veteran status can essentially refuse the assignment and become a free agent instead. That's what Edwards did.

He pitched twice for the Mets recently, allowing just one run in six innings while striking out 11.

Apparently even in this bumpy Mets bullpen, that wasn't enough to stick around.

Edwards pitched briefly for both the Rangers and Angels in 2025, but he's very much in the journeyman stage of his career.

A long time ago now, he was a promising prospect in the Chicago Cubs' system as a starting pitcher, but he's strictly a reliever now and can't seem to stick around anywhere.

There's always a chance he circles back to the Mets if there isn't an MLB offer for Edwards out there, but he's pursuing such an opportunity first in case he can stay in the big leagues rather than going to Triple-A.

The Athletic names WR as UDFA with best chance to make Bills roster

Any undrafted rookie signing after the NFL Draft has a tough path to a roster spot.

However, every offseason some across the NFL some find a way to crack a final 53-man roster. Do any UDFA signings by the Buffalo Bills after the 2026 draft have a chance? The Athletic named one with potential to.

The Bills are in the market for top wide receivers for quarterback Josh Allen and The Athletic named Youngstown State's Max Tomczak. He reportedly signed in Buffalo as a UDFA after the 2026 draft..

The Athletic's breakdown on Tomczak can be found below:

A small Z/slot receiver with potential as a kick/punt returner, Tomczak ran one of the fastest short shuttles (4.01 seconds) of any player in the draft class. The 5-foot-11, 193-pounder had more than 3,000 career receiving yards at Youngstown State, including 70 catches for 1,021 yards and eight touchdowns in 2025.

Former Yankees outfielder signs with White Sox immediately after being release

Just three days after being designated for assignment by the New York Yankees, Randal Grichuk has agreed to an MLB deal with the Chicago White Sox, according to reports. Chicago will need to make corresponding moves to clear space on both the active roster and 40-man roster. Adding the veteran makes sense for the White Sox, considering they have been playing competitive baseball this season.

A Short Stint in New York

Grichuk’s time in the Bronx was brief. The 34-year-old made the team out of camp on a minor league deal and served primarily in a platoon role off the bench, seeing most of his opportunities against left-handed pitching. However, the production never followed.

In limited action, he hit:

  • .194 batting average
  • .212 on-base percentage
  • 0 home runs
  • 10 strikeouts in 33 plate appearances

That lack of impact ultimately led to his DFA.

A Specialist Looking to Rebound

While his recent numbers are underwhelming, Grichuk’s track record suggests there’s still value—especially in a matchup-specific role. From 2022–2024, he was one of the most productive hitters in baseball against left-handed pitching, posting:

  • .317 average
  • .367 OBP
  • .573 slugging percentage

He also racked up:

  • 25 home runs
  • 34 doubles
  • 4 triples

That’s the version of Grichuk the White Sox are betting on.

A Low-Risk Move for Chicago

For the White Sox, this is a classic low-risk, potential-reward signing. Grichuk brings veteran experience, power potential, and a clear role against left-handed pitching. If he regains his previous form, he could quickly become a valuable piece in the lineup.

If not, the commitment is minimal. Randal Grichuk didn’t find his footing in New York. But in Chicago, he gets another shot. And for a player with a proven ability to mash left-handed pitching, it might not take much for this move to pay off.

Man City snub Man Utd FA Youth Cup final venue offer

Manchester City will host their FA Youth Cup final against Manchester United at their smaller Joie Stadium after turning down an offer to switch it to Old Trafford.

City were drawn at home for the game but are unable to use the main pitch, with Pep Guardiola's first team still having three home Premier League games to play.

United, who last won the trophy in 2022 - when more than 60,000 were at Old Trafford to watch a team including Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho beat Nottingham Forest - told City they were prepared to host the game.

City said no, so the game will be played at the 7,000-capacity ground, which is used by the club's Premier League 2 and women's teams.

The club have used the stadium to host Youth Cup finals previously but since 2000, every other host club has played the game at their main stadium.

Two years ago a crowd of 20,000 watched City beat Leeds United in the final at Etihad Stadium.

It is a repeat of the 1986 final, hosted over two legs at Old Trafford and Maine Road and won by City.

United sources feel it is a mistake and will cost the majority of the players involved an experience in what could turn out to be the biggest game of their lives.

City are yet to confirm a date for the game but it is likely to take place on Thursday, 14 May. The club have been asked for a response.
