Barcelona have reportedly informed Hamza Abdelkarim that they intend to activate the purchase option in his loan deal from Al Ahly, according to Diario Sport.

The move would make the youngster’s transfer permanent after he joined Barça Atlètic on loan until June 30, 2026.

Per the agreement, Al Ahly are expected to receive a base fee of €1.5 million, with performance-related bonuses that could reach €5 million. The Cairo giants will also retain a 15% sell-on clause in any future transfer.

وقال سعادته: «نهدي هذا الإنجاز الغالي إلى جماهير الغرافة الوفية التي كانت دائمًا السند الحقيقي للفريق طوال الموسم. اللاعبون كانوا على قدر المسؤولية وقدموا مباراة كبيرة تليق باسم الغرافة وتاريخه».
