MY REVIEW

The Curious Case Of Faith & Grace is the trial of twins Faith and Grace Tiddle. The girls look the picture of innocence……but are they?

The twins have been accused of the murder of their parents….

It tells of the twins early life, a quite strict life with a lot of religion and prayer…..and poor Grebit the frog gives a little idea of something dark…..

It also tells of the murder trial and the jury……one of whom is being blackmailed, all adding to the gloriously creepy tale. Guilty? Or Not Guilty?……….

Blood Red City by Rod Reynolds – Book Review

6E0CFDB5-AF38-4D79-9532-0A5E6269BAAC
PUBLISHERS BLURB

A witness with no victim. A crime with no crime scene…

When crusading journalist Lydia Wright is sent a video of an apparent murder on a London train, she thinks she’s found the story to revive her career. But she can’t find a victim, much less the killers, and the only witness has disappeared. Wary she’s fallen for fake news, she begins to doubt her instincts – until a sinister call suggests that she’s not the only one interested in the crime.

Michael Stringer deals in information – and doesn’t care which side of the law he finds himself on. But the murder on the train has left him exposed, and now he’ll stop at nothing to discover what Lydia knows.

When their paths collide, Lydia finds the story leads through a nightmare world, where money, power and politics intersect … and information is the only thing more dangerous than a bullet.

A nerve-shattering and brutally realistic thriller, Blood Red City bursts with energy and grit from the opening page, twisting and feinting to a superb, unexpected ending that will leave you breathless.

MY REVIEW

Set in London, Lydia is a journalist, bored with the showbiz gossip she’s currently working on, when a friend sends her a video clip showing a man being attacked and possibly murdered on a tube train…..she needs to know more.

As a result she meets Michael Springer, a ‘fixer’ with dubious methods of getting what is needed for his clients. Together they uncover far reaching financial wrongdoings involving some very nasty people. (I really can’t say much more for fear of spoiling the marvellously complex plot)……violent, tense and twisty.

Blood Red City is a fast paced gritty thriller with some great characters and a plot that really keeps you gripped from start to finish…..and that end…Brilliant.
